Program Leaders

Katherine Orcutt
Katherine believes we live more fully and wholly when we see our path in realistic terms, do our best to live with and learn from it, and use it all for the best in our work and relationships. After a successful career as a physical therapist working with many elders, Katherine then became an Elder Care Specialist while an Employee Assistance Program counselor from 2000-2024. As a Massachusetts SHINE Counselor, she currently guides people through Medicare decision-making. She received her BS and Certificate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College and her counseling MA from Emmanuel College. Jonathan Rehmus

In his current role as an interfaith hospice chaplain and in the course of 15 years as minister to UU/UCC churches, he has served many elders and helped families address issues of aging and transition. For specifics regarding Jon’s training related to elder care, see the Elder Care Programs page and click “Learn More.” He also leads astronomy and geology programs having taught the Earth sciences for many years in schools. For specifics regarding Jon’s naturalism teaching, see “Naturalism Programs” page. In addition, he is committed to the historical-critical study of diverse scriptures and recently translated an important work dealing with the New Testament gospels. Jon received his B.A. summa cum laude from Amherst College and his divinity degree from Harvard University.
